Use of UAV for border monitoring

Brazil shares a border line with 10 South American countries, totaling more than 16,885 km. Because of this, the maintenance and protection of these borders require an extremely expensive logistical and operational effort, making it humanly impossible with the current available resources.

As time goes by, criminals become increasingly cunning and creative in finding methods and ways to cross these borders and move through our country, often bringing or taking with them drugs, weapons, and other illicit items. There are even police operations that dismantle human trafficking networks.

The use of UAVs (Unmanned Ae rial Vehicles) by security forces for monitoring more remote areas such as dense forests and jungles, where the logistical deployment of personnel becomes expensive, time-consuming, and risky, is already a reality. In this way, by employing these devices, we achieve a broader area of vision.

AdTech is an important ally of the Security Forces, as a substantial part of our production and development is focused on situations in which the use of technology can save lives and prevent criminals from succeeding in their objectives.

With the specialized cameras integrated into the Harpia, it is possible to identify targets at distances of kilometers.

The HARPIA, our RPA (Remotely Piloted Aircraft) system, is a brazilian produced drone that incorporates the highest technology available in South America.

It has an average endurance of 1200 km, or 12 hours of flight under ideal conditions, along with a radio communication range of 200 km and software-based communication range of 500 km, enabling its use in diverse terrains. Its standard camera features a zoom of over 45x, providing high precision in target and object recognition. It also supports night operations, as it is equipped with a highly precision infrared sensor.

The HARPIA RPA does not replace human involvement in all situations, but it is an incredible support tool, reducing operational costs and safeguarding what is most important to us: the lives of those involved.
